About this Training:

This training explores the intersection of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, trauma, and among our Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA) community in America, particularly, the ways in which members of community navigate and resisted marginalization and dehumanization. People who belong to the LGBTQIA community often experience traumatic events, all related to their sexual orientation, gender presentation, and gender identity. This trauma is nuanced and complex, and it transcends social groups, communities, and even state and national boundaries.

This training will help inform, equitize your workplace and clinical interventions, build and sustain safe spaces, and reveal LGBTQIA life as a dynamic and powerful force in American society.

This is an interactive webinar where participation is extremely encouraged (mics on cameras on with breakout sessions). Moderator: Sabrina Hansen, MSW. We do not offer CEUs, but certificates of attendance will be available upon request after the event.
